    SHAKER STYLE KITCHEN

Classic shaker for rear extension project in Cardiff

Mr and Mrs Smith wanted a blend of traditional and contemporary in their new kitchen extension. Their Cardiff home was being transformed and this would have a huge impact on their way of life. It was important to create a kitchen that would enhance the extension and work effectively as Mr and Mrs Smith grew into their new space. We worked closely with the architect to ensure the layout was practical. We also kept close tabs on the builder to ensure the room dimensions didn’t change. You’ll be amazed how often builders move walls without telling anyone. The furniture itself is a shaker style Oak door in Mussel and Slate Grey painted finish, with a mixture of Silestone worktops in Tigris Sand and Cemento Spa to compliment the mixture of the unit colours. The circular wooden breakfast bar was a bespoke element. It was made by hand by one of the UK’s finest cabinet makers and adds the perfect finishing touch to a stunning kitchen.

A bespoke breakfast bar

Mr and Mrs Smith wanted a breakfast bar added to the end of the worktop. The options were endless but they did express an interest in solid timber. The solution needed to be bespoke and, fortunately, we have connections with one of the UK’s finest bespoke cabinet makers. The level of craftsmanship he provides is second to none and this ‘simple’ addition has made all the difference to this beautiful kitchen.
