  • fully tiled en suite shower room

Fully tiled with a luxury finish

After completing their kitchen in 2014, Mr and Mrs Arnold’s next project was their ensuite shower room. Similarly to their experience with their old kitchen, the furniture in this room had only lasted a few years after it’s last refurbishment. The priority was therefore to create a low maintenance, contemporary design that would stand the test of time. This was more than a simple “rip out and replace”. The original layout was reversed, moving the shower to where the sink was and vice verser. False walls were constructed to hide unsightly soil pipes and the formerly part tiled walls were fully tilled from floor to ceiling. This project was highly technical. Everything had to be carefully designed and measured exactly. Particular attention was given to the position of each element. The toilet had to be central to the window and recessed shelving had to coordinate with the size and position of the wall tiles.

Walk in shower

This stunning walk in shower delivers on looks and functionality. The shower area was fitted with a full tanking membrane to ensure it was fully waterproof and built to last. The tiles are Kaope Slate Grey with Zante mosaic. The in built shelving is totally bespoke and adds a finishing touch that’s practical and stylish.

Double sink

High on the list of requests was a “his and her” sink area. This double by Britton 450x1200 unit fitted perfectly. The basin is a Britton 1200 Quatro Cast. The matching mixer taps by Pure look stunning and work perfectly with the back lit wall mirror.

Wall mounted toilet

The floor mounted toilet by Tavistock offers a stylish, minimal look that is attached to the false wall that was built to hide the cistern and soil pipe. Special attention was given to the tiling, which needed to join centrally to the window and the cistern flush.

Client testimonial
Having used Jo previously for our kitchen, we had no hesitation in turning to her again when we needed to replace our tired en-suite bathroom. Giving Jo a blank canvas was the best move and she came up with a great design for us that really works. The new bathroom looks larger than it did before and we're really happy with it. Jo and her team worked to the same standard that we experienced previously when we had our new kitchen.Mr and Mrs Arnold, Cardiff, South Wales
